The inspection process begins with loading the ampoules onto an inspection table from trays. These ampoules are then manually pushed onto an inclined infeed conveyor belt, which has a large capacity to handle multiple ampoules at once. A starwheel picks up the ampoules and feeds them to a revolving inspection drum, which consists of two spinning stations and two inspection stations. At the first inspection station, two ampoules are inspected simultaneously, and their status is recorded. The same ampoules are then inspected again at the second inspection station to make sure accuracy.
After the second inspection, the ampoules exit the revolving drum and are picked up by another starwheel, transferring them to a linear screw. This linear screw helps in organizing the ampoules before they reach the sorter. The sorter then automatically separates the good ampoules from the defective ones, directing them into individual outfeed hoppers for further processing or disposal. This meticulous inspection process that only high-quality ampoules pass through, maintaining the standards of safety and efficacy.
