The dry heat sterilizer process involves sterilizing items through heat conduction. In this method, the outside surface of an item absorbs heat and gradually transfers it inward, layer by layer, until the entire item reaches the necessary sterilization temperature.
To start, ampoules or vials are washed in a non-sterile room and then placed in trays. These trays are loaded onto a trolley, which is then transferred to the sterilizer using a transfer trolley. Temperature and time settings are programmed into the digital controller. An impeller within the sterilizer pumps hot air horizontally above the products. The sterilizer's top-mounted components heat the air. A HEPA filter module makes sure that fresh air enters the system and flows cleanly.
The sterilizer features two doors: one opening into the sterile room and the other into the non-sterile room, with both doors being pneumatically interlocked to maintain sterility. During the sterilizing process, a circular recorder records the temperature, and a six-point electronic temperature detector provides confirmation. After the designated sterilization period has passed, the heating circuit shuts off, the pneumatic damper (exhaust) opens, and the cooling operation begins.
