The PVC alu blister packing machine is classified into two primary categories based on distinct packing materials and forming principles: aluminium/plastic (thermoforming) blister packs and aluminium/aluminium (cold forming) blister packs. Thermoforming blister packs offer the advantage of allowing visual inspection of the goods through the clear plastic. This transparency makes it easy to identify and reject defective blister cards, either by camera or human eye.
PVC is the most fundamental material for the forming web because of its affordability and ease of thermoforming. The operation of the PVC alu blister packing machine starts with the LI-PA 150/240/300 model, which features continuous operations of forming, feeding, sealing, and printing stations, while the punching station operates intermittently. The machine's product capacity depends on the characteristics of the product, the pack layout, and the type of feeding device used. PVC film is generally used as the base film, and aluminium foil with heat-sealable VMCH coating is used as the lidding film. Accessories such as batch code printers, inspection cameras, and inline perforators can be mounted on the machine to improve its functionality.
Blister cavities are formed on the PVC/PVDC film web using vacuum processes. This blister-formed web moves over the web guide track to the feeding station, where products are fed into individual cavities. The formed web, along with the tablets or capsules, moves towards the sealing station, where it is fused to the aluminium foil drawn from an aluminium reel-feed station. The punching tool then punches out the specified pack, which is transferred to the out-feed conveyor. This machine is specially built for pharmaceuticals like tablets and capsules, although other products can be fed to the blister-formed spaces on the created web. To reach the feeder region, follow the guide track.
